The Rennell and Bellona Constituency Office works closely with the Ministry of Rural Development (MRD) and plays a central role in coordinating and managing development initiatives endorsed by the Constituency Development Committee (CDC). The office is staffed by three key personnel: The Constituency Development Officer (CDO), Constituency Project Officer (CPO), and Constituency Accounts Officer (CAO). These officers are recruited through the Public Service Commission and their salaries are fully funded by the national government under the MRD. While they work within the constituency office, they are directly accountable to the MRD.

The Constituency Development Officer (CDO) is responsible for overall coordination of development activities and acts as the lead officer in planning, implementing, and reporting on constituency programs and projects. The CDO serves as the main liaison between the constituency and the MRD.

The Constituency Project Officer (CPO) provides technical support for the design, assessment, and monitoring of constituency-funded projects. The CPO ensures that project proposals are practical, aligned with community needs, and implemented according to approved plans and timelines.

The Constituency Accounts Officer (CAO) manages all financial matters related to the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). This includes budgeting, fund disbursement, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and MRD guidelines.

Together, these officers ensure that development funding, including the Constituency Development Fund, Education Grants, and Church Grants, is managed transparently and effectively to benefit the people of Rennell and Bellona.

The current officers of the Constituency are as follows;

  • Stuart Baiabe – Constituency Development Officer (CDO)
  • Morsely Hatingongo – Constituency Project Officer (CPO)
  • Catherine Tuhakiu – Constituency Accounts Officer (CAO)
